PAKISTAN NEEDS TO CHANGES ITS ECONOMIC DIRECTIONS

It has been said many times by a lot economist, and politician Pakistan needs to improve its exports. However, still, no one worked on it. On the other hand, the neighbor countries left us behind in just a few decades. India’s export increased to more than 330 billion in the last two decades while china left the whole world behind in just three decades.

The information technology sector is on the sector where Pakistan can work, can beat India in this sector, but Pakistan needs reforms. India spent last decay to revolutionize its IT sector; now the google CEO has recently announced the google will spend $10Bn in next few years. This investment will help to build the IT industry in the industry. Another neighbor Bangladesh is making smartphones and exporting it to Dubai and United States.

The condition of the IT sector is not pleasing at all; the entire IT sector of Pakistan is $4.1bn, which is very least then others in the region. The current government is focusing on digitalizing the data Pakistan, launched a different program to conduct to revolution Pakistan IT sector. Pakistan still facing major issue in IT sector, i.e. lack of professionals in the field. The IT minister is politically appointed and has no background in IT.

If Pakistan wants to increase exports, it is the IT sector where Pakistan needs to work.
