KARACHI RAIN, BUSINESSES DRAIN

After the climate change, Karachi every year facing severe heat waves during summer, the humidity and extreme hotness have grasped the whole Karachi drastically, which was never experienced before. Karachi's night always has cold, fresh air in summers, but this year the nights are as hot as the days with no compressed air. Well, after baking in summer vibes, the system of rain enters, bringing destruction yet a pleasure to the people of Karachi. The 7th which was expected to be the last spell of rain is on the round, but the system seems weak however the sixth spell fallen with full pressure made the Karachi float. 

The last five spells have also brought damage to the city, but the sixth one seems the head of all. The clouds were continuously on a mission to empty the bucket of rain, and Karachi drowned with no management to preside over. Everything is moving on self-help as people now realize that no governance will come to rescue or make any arrangement to get out of the worst road conditions. But wait! Roads? Are there any roads visible after rain? All were seen as water with floating cars and bikes. No drainage system, broken roads, slopes in many areas allowing sewer water to stand in front of houses, and even entering in like an unwelcome guest. How can we forget the load shedding and shortage of water supply? The first thing to disappear after the few drops of rain. As per K-Electric, rainwater enters the feeders that cause the electricity shortage. After the city's scary situation, the Sindh government declared a rain emergency to begin the operation of relief in high-flown areas. The gutters were overflowed that had made the traffic jam. Shahra-e-Faisal, Surjani Town, Jail road, Naagin Chowrangi, Do Talwar, Kala Board, Avari Tower, Tibet Centre along with others had been reported with standstill traffic. 

Businesses Faced Loss

Rain prediction already made up business workers' minds, traders to be ready for slow pace work, but this wasn't expected for some of them to face a massive loss in a day. The furniture market in Karachi drowned entirely, created massive damage to the owners. Other professions, including the real estate market, get a bit down after the rain. It stops the client's visits to the projects; however, online working is continuing to keep everyone updated. Most of the offices have given work from home to employees to ensure their safety as the roads cannot drive on. Many salons, marts, and local shops were also overflown.

Consequences of Rain

The rain in Karachi has faded all hot waves but flooded many areas due to improper management. The damage wouldn't be severe if precautions were taken earlier and not putting lives at risk. The Meteorology Department of Pakistan alert about the rain, which likely to end on Thursday, advising people to be safe and avoid going out unnecessarily. Also, keep the umbrella and raincoats for safety measures. 

Met office informed about the urban flooding, "Rain/wind-thundershowers, with isolated heavy to very heavy falls, are expected in Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Shaheed Benazirabad, Dadu, Tharparker, Nagarparker, Mirpurkhas, Islam Kot, Umar Kot, Sanghar, Sukkur, and Larkana from Monday to Wednesday." 

The weather also predicted today's (Tuesday) rain prediction, but the system doesn't seem robust, and the thunder cells seem weak and moving ahead from Sindh.
